9-11-01

Im sitting having coffee at a friends place
in front of the news my heart starts to quickly race
we just seen the twin towers struck by a plane
fear and panic starts in again

The tears are flowing and it breaks my heart
as I think of all the families torn apart
our three kids are playing outside right now
we ponder the questions of the who and the how

we have a sleep over at my house that night
cause of course the husbands arent home  right
we wonder how this will affect us all
we crumble just as those towers so tall

we wonder what the next move will be
a counter attack is eminant, that anyone can see
which units will be chosen to fight
how many days of darkness till we see a light

the images are almost to much to bear
seeing so many people waiting down there
in hopes to find a missing loved one
the world will stand together for what they have done

they united the world with their attack
we had to stop and take a few steps back
to absorb the damage that they have done
but it won't be over until we've won

We sit back two wives now in fear
will our husbands be chosen to go there
in the military this seperation is a part of  life
and we know we chose proudly to be a military wife
