REST IN PEACE JACQUELINE
Jacqueline a lady of laughter and tears
Kennedys wife and partner of ten years
Endured the ups and downs of life
More than could be expected of any wife
In a life of turmoil and iron will too
Her strength of character carried her through
Life as she seen it must have been harder
Than most of us could imagine or charter
Any other woman would have lost her shine like a burnt out star
Woman of the world, dignitary by far
Should not have lost so much as this
Ever hurting for the husband she must surely miss
Have you ever tried to imagine the hurt or the pain
To know your greatest hopes are in vain
Rest was never easy in a life difficult at best
In hers life was a constant test
Peace has finally come for her as she is now laid to rest.

I know of a woman with brains and beauty as well
a woman who at every ball would surely be the belle
through perils she always held her head high
never letting others see the hurt in her eyes
Her life was full of ups and downs
small informal dinners and party gowns
the perfect family or so it would appear
she never had a friend with which her pain to share
She thought less of herself then the world ever did
thoughts she developed as a young little kid
a passion for horses, history and poems alike
her life was a long, and rocky peril filled hike
She surpassed indignities we never could
the things with which we never should
to be with the man she did love
they went together like a hand and glove
She stayed by his side through the good and the bad
a wife in her husbands shadow was glad
for the precious few moments that they had
to see what Jackie went through at best is sad
Whenever things would start to go her way
there would soon be a dark cloud to dampen the day
it seemed her happiness was always kept at bay
no matter how much she would hope or pray
She loved and lost to much over the years
and how many times as she shed tears
nobody knows the harrowing life she graced through
or the true happiness thats always been her due
